About this book
Type the name once. Most name tracing packs are slide decks. You type a child's name on the first line, then the second, then the third, and twenty lines later you start again for the next child. Twenty-eight children is an afternoon you do not have in the first week of September. This one is a single linked form field. Type a name on any tracing line and it appears on all thirty-five, across all eight pages, at once. Change the name and the whole pack changes with it. Eight pages: seven large tracing lines, eight medium, eleven small, a trace-then-write page, first and last name, one letter per box, a blank page for writing it unaided, and a progress chart. Every row has a top line, a dashed middle line and a solid baseline, and the typed name is set so the lower case letters fill the space between the middle line and the baseline exactly. A tracing sheet made of plain ruled lines teaches a child to make a shape the right width and the wrong height, which then has to be untaught. One page is written for you: how to print a class set in ten minutes, and why to start with the first letter rather than the whole name.
